Project Lifesaver Saskatoon is part of the Saskatoon Search and Rescue (SSAR) programming. SSAR is a registered charitable organization of dedicated volunteers who are on call 24/7 to assist their community. Our mission is to protect people at risk for wandering. Participants in the Project Lifesaver program wear personalized wristbands that emit a radio-frequency tracking signal. In the event that a participant wanders, trained Project Lifesaver Saskatoon personnel and police service members can use the signal to search for, and locate, the missing person.
